In his 19 years practicing intellectual property law, Jonathan Olson has participated in various due diligence studies, product clearance and other opinion letters, portfolio analysis, foreign patent prosecution, license negotiations, assertions of trade secret rights, patent litigation support, and trademark prosecution. He created potent and extensive portfolios in data processing, drone control, electrical communications, information security and storage, multiplex communications, telecom, and medical devices. He has written patent applications for Bill Gates, Paul Allen, Nathan Myhrvold, and many other prominent Seattle-area inventors. Jonathan’s work has provided leverage in numerous licensing negotiations and litigation contexts.
Before joining ÆON Law, Jonathan worked served in many IP-related roles for Intellectual Ventures®, Seagate Technology®, and Honeywell®. Jonathan also held various engineering positions for a semiconductor manufacturer in Minnesota. He also taught English in Japan.
When Jonathan is not advocating for clients, he enjoys volunteering, journaling, strategy games, Toastmasters International® and Context International® events, exploring, and hot yoga.
