PROTECT YOUR IP

Design Patents

When patents are mentioned, you probably think of utility patents, which protect novel and original inventions. But design patents, which cover the ornamental appearance of an object, are an increasingly important tool. Compared with other forms of IP protection, design patent registration is relatively quick, a significant advantage for efficiently enforcing a company’s rights.

At AEON Law, design patents are an important part of our overall strategy to build and protect our clients’ innovative businesses. We work with our clients to identify the novel design aspects of their products and obtain design patents to protect them against infringers and add value to their businesses.

Our attorneys are well-versed in consumer-facing products. For example, we helped a startup that makes creatively-designed childcare products to build a portfolio of design patents that helped it prevail against copycats. The client’s design patent registrations were a significant asset during a crucial growth period for the company.

AEON Law uses a flat fee structure to give clients predictability throughout the registration process. Our goal is to educate clients and strategize with them to make the best decisions to move their businesses forward. With a strategic intellectual property plan, including strong design patent protection, we help companies from startups to established businesses to thrive.

Protect your designs.
